The Swedish Chemicals Agency

Swedish Chemicals Agency (KemI) is the competent authority regarding issues concerning:
  • Deliberate release of genetically modified micro-organisms, nematodes, spiders and insects,
  • Placing on the market products consisting of, or containing, genetically modified micro-organisms, nematodes, spiders or insects.

The Swedish Chemicals Agency is also responsible for the approval of these organism groups if they will be used or placed on the Swedish market as biological pesticides.
